MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To provide manufacture support as part of the Engineering Team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. To support the development of the range of test equipment and associated jigs and fixtures as requested. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To undertake test machine assembly and wiring to IEEE standards

To produce or modify production diagrams, build documentation and user manuals for test equipment.

To assist in the assembly and internal calibration of the companys range of test machines and associated fixtures and jigs.

To undertake external calibration of the test machines at customer premises within the UK.

To maintain test equipment both on site at the company Headquarters and at customers premises.

To undertake or supervise internal maintenance of the company infrastructure (wiring, lighting etc) and to undertake PAT testing both on site and customer orders. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Minimum degree level qualification in a relevant subject.

Certified to current IEEE legislation or capable of reaching this standard within three months of employment.

Experienced in building and commissioning test equipment.

Experience of industrial panel testing.

Certified in PAT testing to recognised UK training standards or capable of reaching this standard within three months of employment.

An understanding of production drawings and wiring diagrams.

A flexible approach to undertaking the electrical assembly of units from rough designs and photographs.

Skilled in manufacturing processes, especially drilling and fitting.

Experience of producing bills of materials and procurement of parts.

Experience of designing to customer expectations and in communication with customers.

Experience of materials handling and goods receipt.
